Balcarres International Horse Trails

Balcarres Estate is home to the newest most exciting three day Event in Scotland - The Balcarres International Horse Trials.

From 14th - 17th June 2012 Balcarres is hosting a three day event, which although named three-day is split into two days of dressage, a day of cross country riding and a day of show jumping, making a total of four days. These four days will see competitors from Olympians through to local grass roots riders take part in this British Eventing affiliated event.

The competition is being supported by a world class team including Eric Winter, the cross-country course designer (who also designs the course for Burghley Horse Trials) and Mike Tucker, the renowned equestrian voice of so many international Events and equestrian shows.

Set to host both world class Eventing and a wide variety of non equestrian attractions, Balcarres International Horse Trials is the perfect destination for all of the family. With a shopping village, displays, catering, arena attractions and entertainment there really is something for everyone, even for those who are not horsey-minded.
